This session is intended for HRANS members who currently hold the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation. The session will cover the HRANS CHRP recertification process including an overview of the development categories, examples of development activities that qualify for recertification points, and tips on retaining and capturing the information required over the three-year period.

This session is free and is open to HRANS CHRP holders interested in learning more about retaining the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation.

Pre-registration is required as space is limited.

The universal mantra of leaders today is "Innovate or Die". Canadian economic growth is dependent on innovation to fuel future growth. How does HR fit in?

Michele Dorsey, a lawyer who specializes in workplace dynamics and unlocking HR issues, will reveal her "Ah ha! moment" that connects HR practices to the core of an organizations innovative capacity.

About the Speaker:
Michele Dorsey, CEO, Lawyer, Senior Consultant, Michele Dorsey Law Inc.

After graduating from UNB Law School, Michele got her start practicing family law. She eventually moved into the Human Resources and Labour Relations field, and has spent the past 16 years as a well-respected, prominent figure in the world of HR/LR.

Michele understands the fundamental principals that encompass human relationships. She uses this natural understanding to develop an empathetic approach in finding solutions for conflict.

Michele believes in a strong connection between mind, body and spirit. In her spare time she enjoys doing yoga and spending time in her garden.

A wide range of wine and spirits vendors from around the region converge at this annual event to promote their products through tastings and discounted sales at the show. Highlights of the event include an art exhibition, a silent auction and many opportunities to discuss wines with suppliers and sommeliers. The event is held at the Charlottetown Civic Centre.
